Prospects for applying financial and economic feasibility study for the analysis of regulatory costs for business were discussed at the Center for Strategic Research

On 6 of April, the Center for Strategic Research held a seminar “Prospects for expanding the mechanism of financial and economic feasibility studies in Russian lawmaking for the analysis of regulation costs for business entities”.

Prospects for applying financial and economic feasibility study for the analysis of regulatory costs for business were discussed at the Center for Strategic Research

The event was attended by employees of the Center for Strategic Research, representatives of business community, experts of the Higher School of Economics, National Institute for System Study of Entrepreneurship, Institute for Program and Policy Evaluation and the Association “Public-Private Partnership Development Center”.

The first part of the seminar was devoted to reviewing the practical use of financial and economic feasibility studies by Russian and foreign government authorities. Director of the RIA Center Daniel Tsygankov made a presentation about the experience of the US Congressional Budget Office in analyzing economic effects of lawmaking.

Individual cases illustrating the use of financial and economic calculations for draft regulations assessment, investment projects and SMEs support were presented during the second part of the seminar.
