“Kommersant” published an article based on the results of the seminar on regulation at the Center for Strategic Research
On 8 of June at the Center for Strategic Research hosted a seminar “Towards a new architecture of regulatory policy: the central body for deregulation – “the Law on Laws” – evidence based lawmaking”.
As follows from the working materials of Development Strategy of the Russian Federation for 2018-2024 discussed on 8 of June at the Center for Strategic Research, the Center proposes a decisive regulatory reform. One of the ideas is to establish an administrative tribunal of 9-10 people, which will eliminate “stumbling points in law” – gaps in legal acts, excessive and contradictory norms. There is no effective way to abolish them yet and, according to the Center for Strategic Research, such a tribunal for 3-4 years will give an impetus to deregulation.
The opinion of Daniel Tsygankov, Director of the RIA Center, who made a report “Central Deregulation Bodies: International Experience and Lessons for Russia” at the seminar, and other experts – in the article “Punishing sanity” of the Kommersant newspaper”.
